about

a memory of friendship

lyrics

At the top of the stairs
a boy in blue jeans
ran a hand through his hair
and laughed at me.

Sparrows in a tree,
Eagle in the sky,
Your life brought me a little light

In a quiet room
the sunshine
shone on his white shirt
as he tried to read my mind.

"And he actually did it"
sometimes.
Your picture
still hangs in my mind.

"And he actually did it"
sometimes.
Your picture
still hangs in my mind.

It was many years ago
a boy
in yellow shoes
gave all his possessions away
but I couldn't loose

pine trees on hillsides
and that crazy school
where your mysterious smile
chased away the blues

pine trees on hillsides
and that crazy school
where your mysterious smile
chased away the blues
