lyrics

after the protest, you came here
brought me a bar of chocolate and a beer.
we walked on the flat earth
talk about white words
beans and rice, and Summer nights

i’ll be up all night, i’ll never get to bed
looking at the light, shining on the water
the moon is so bright, shinning on the water
and a breeze is a blessing, like a message in a bottle

— i’m looking for a home, in a poem
living in a tree, in a dream
i’m a candle in a storm
….a candle on a beach

—i’m listening for a bird, that sang to me
laughing like a boy, on my knee
a candle in a storm
….a candle on a beach

coconut and chilly, and green tea
i’m whistling in the wind. by the, by the sea
a breeze is a blessing, after the protest
we ate beans and rice, on summer nights
after the protest
