lyrics

red lives fall, to the sidewalk, on a rainy night
traffic's backed up, a driver says, hey get out of the way
it's 1 in the morning
the night's just beginning

cabs pull up, to the door of, club 45
a door man, with a blue umbrella, he'l take you inside
what's on the agenda, Ted?
has Gladys White started singing yet?

i walk up to the bar, at club 45
i look around, hey this place, would make a great song
hey John i'l have whiskey
what up with your band, where are you playing?

i'm a little drunk, after 2 hours. i saw a few friends
hey Ted call me a taxi, i think i'l go home
the music was delicious
Gladys white had me in tears tonight

red lives fall, to the sidewalk, on a rainy night
traffic's backed up, a driver says, hey get out of the way
it's 3 in the morning
the night's just beginning
