about

after being forced out of my apartment of 27 years. i found a new home in Ridgewood, NY, witch is in Queens, just over the Brooklyn border. not far from Williamsburg.
the songs here were made from Oct.2016, through March 2017. in my new place. the dominant (no pun intended) instrument here is my harpsichord, witch sits in the living room here. i want to thank Christian, Brendan, and Jay for there encouragement, and helpful suggestions.

Track Name: Coast to Coast
all the times
i've cried
and i've tried
to love some guy
to love some guy

i can't say
i know
what i'm doing
i can't read your lips
i can't read your lips

.... i'm walking around
in my life
on the edge of a knife
i'm holding my light

....i'm playing a clown
i'm singing it now
in the arms of a child
and i've left my mind

every boy
i've known
from New York City
to the coast
to the coast

....
i can't say
i know
what i'm doing
i can't read your lips
i can't read your lips

....i'm building a stage
i'm digging a grave
i'm making a wave
a little wave

....and in the darkness
of my life
deep in the night
i'm holding a light
Track Name: the Compuss
falling down
in darkness
who will be the hero
who will be a witness

what matters most
to people
standing in line
standing in line at the movies

looking for water
in the desert
i once had a compass
for America
..looking for a future i remember

getting up
in the morning
who will turn on the tv
who will make breakfast

what matters most
to most people
walking home
from the grocery store

falling down
in darkness
who will be the hero
who will be a witness

what matters most
to people
standing in line
standing in line at the movies
Track Name: Dreams & Memories
at night i fall asleep
falling into dreams
i dreamed you woke me up
and kissed me, we made love
but your mother called me up
you were gone. you drank too much

it's been how many years?
i walked around, and tears
came down, tears came down
i walked down town in tears
when your mother called me up
you were gone. you drank too much

swallows in Mexico,
were so beautiful to see
and that boy, so long ago
that face i know so well
your mother called me up
tell his friends to let him go

--swallows flew in Mexico.. down the streets of San Miguel
and i walked from church to church.. following the bells
later on i follow you, but that was years ago-

at night i fall asleep
falling into dreams
i dreamed you woke me up
and kissed me, we made love
but your mother called me up
your mother called me up
Track Name: Feet on My Desk
i'm falling asleep, at 4:00 o'clock
with my feet my desk, i'm waiting for words
but what are these words, and what is this world
and what in the world, am i trying to sing

-- and over the wall the children call
can you hear them knock on the golden door?

as great city's fall, were building a wall
no one can remember what number to call
t help is on the way, my check may come today
but what in the world am i trying to say?

-- and over the wall the children call
can you hear them knock on the golden door?

rivers may flood, castles may fall
the markets may crash. and ruin us all
but i'm falling asleep, with my feet on the desk
as i write a song, i'll sing a song

-- and over the wall the children call
can you hear them knock on the golden door?

friends at a table
after the funeral
i see a bird
black on the blue sky

death in the afternoon
what does
what does a child know
what do you know

Track Name: the Language of Space
--the language of space
words in a river

red boats and white boats
telephones and dreaming

the apple of his eye
was some boy down the street ...he liked the way he smiled

and some king in the wings

words don't explain
the secrets of space ...between them

and thought chase away
the music ...of meaning

-- the river and the phone
words on a boat

a fish on a stone
a fishermen's home

the apple of his eye
was some boy down the street ...he liked the way he smiled

the secrets of space ...between them

and thought chase away
the music ...of meaning
