Richard's in Michigan
04:27
|
|||
Richard's in Michigan / and i'm in New York
he sounded fine / a voice in the dark
a voice on the telephone / at 1 am
1 in the morning 2 in the morning
good night Richard
Richard's in Michigan / for a consultation
he's building a bridge again / or a train station
if i took a train /i'd be there in the morning
......... did i tell you i love you ...
-- boys in black suits, and red ties
siting in cafes / sipping espresso
bright boys and business men, sipping espresso
cafe's in Williamsburg, red lights and green lights
i met Richard at a party in Brooklyn
that was 10 years ago. i was a musician
playing a sad song / Richard was smiling
i'll say good night Richard. good night Richard.

On a Train to Paris
04:35
|
|||
my London lover, sang lullabies
on the train to Paris, but i
could not see why
if your close to home, you’l be left behind
but the East River, yes the East River
is a short train ride
in a car to Berlin, we made good time
rain on the highway was a
lovers rhyme
my mother sang ,old lullabies
but when i sang in London, i sang in Paris
my mother cried.
Richard hoped, he hoped we’d find
answers to questions
in lines that rhyme.
But i lost Richard, in the Summer time
when a thief in London asked me
for the time

Jack and Jill
05:22
|
|||
rain.. falling out of the sky
falling from from. his blue ...eyes
standing in the the light
like a frozen child
- playing - statues
.…Jack and Jill
falling down
jump around
play.. an old song
(a new) sound
trains .. coming out of the ground
tears and clocks. cars and towns
dancing in the night
…like.. a lost child
in - the - moon - light
……magic tales
told at night
fire side
rock,rocking horse
(sleeping) child
sun falling onto the town
morning drive. traffic sounds
standing in the street
like a little thief
- stolen - candy
cops.. catch a child
tears and clocks
doors and locks
play..and old song
(a new.).sound

the Green Piano
03:18
|
|||
winds blow down deserted streets
ear to the piano ear to the ground
i listen to the world, on my knees
from the earth.. my heart beats
boy sopranos serenade
the contralto and the alto
in the finale on the stage
i am playing a green piano
deserted towns and empty streets
at 2 am, the bars are closing
the choir boys are all asleep
the last buss the last drink
from the earth.. my heart beats
i listen the world on my knees
a green piano, the boy sopranos
serenade windy streets
from the earth.. my heart beats
i listen the world on my knees
a green piano a contralto
the last buss the last drink

Wet Pavement
04:51
|
|||
walking in my sleep. under stars
under my feet, wet pavement
i can only see, the design of my life
i can only imagine the design of the night
raining on the street, step into the city
lost in the rain, stars out of sight
i can only dream, as i walk through the village
i can only imagine the pattern
standing on the corner, reading a newspaper
just reflections.
............
under the sea and under the stars
walking in the rain on wet pavement
my tiny boat, may reach an other shore
stars on the water, stars in the sky
i lost a lover. you were my star
you slipped through my fingers, like a lost glove
i dug my own grave a design in the night
i can only imagine the face in my mind
standing on the corner, reading a newspaper
just reflections.

White Cream in Coffee
04:27
|
|||
a passing bus
i’m waiting down town
in a caffee ..
white cream in coffee
Saturday sounds
white noise on the radio
i’m crossing the street
pop songs and groceries
traffic like a river
traffic like a river
red light at the corner
walking man in a box
waiting for a train
looking down on the street
rooftops in Ridgewood
coffee and cream
new song on the page
something to sing about
in a caffe
white cream in coffee
music on the radio
children down the street
laughing in the playground
old men and dominoes

Green Screen
05:28
|
|||
when - flowers grow on the trees
and time- rights in a book dreams
highways and ministers have nothing to say
red and black
red and green
rivers flowing to the sea
afternoons
on a page i turn to read
--
trapeze flying in the scene
men and - women walk in a green screen
all of the men we know
are blue and gold
blue and green
whiskey dreams
trapezoids and acrobats
swing on swings
a river flows into my hat
a youth
smiled at me on the street
trapezoids
and children's choirs
.. sang for me
in my blue dreams
pink and blue
gold and green
Summers coming, children climb
apple trees
in the garden, green screen

Rivers of Motion
05:03
|
|||
tattered window shades, cover the pains
kids in the distance gone away
waiting for my taxi, to come around,
snow in a gray sky coming down
on the cathedral, across the street
i used to live there, when i believed.
when i believed, in faith and grace,
the resurrection and salvation
….., till i lost faith.
but the cathedral is still a pretty place
...the cathedral is a pretty place
but the cathedral is still a pretty place.
..............................
when I'm walking in the woods, I'm in a place
that's quiet in my head, that's quiet like a space
that flickers like candles and sparkles like a waves
when I'm standing by the ocean or waiting for a train
and rivers of motion take away my pain
and rivers of motion take away my pain ...
