the Oracle
04:11
|
|||
don’t, don’t cry Billy
the misty birds, won’t hurt you.
raven kings will bring you rings.. and paper cutouts
i’ll make you a crown so everyone knows, i love you
i saw you, walking by the river
on your way to town, but don’t look at reflections
an echo sounds like angry voices
but hungry ghosts, are drowning in the rainbow.,
long ago the ancient crow, asked the oracle
he said, a boy i know, is lost in snow storms
the lady said, i don’t know what to do with him
make him a crown so he knows you love him
“D”don’t, don’t cry Billy
the misty birds, won’t hurt you.
raven kings will bring you rings.. and paper cutouts
i’ll make you a crown so everyone knows, i love you

Sleeping with Angels
03:40
|
|||
Saturday in the old mill town
….
we went out..walked up and down
sun shine in Crazy Lakes
at a caffe’ we talked to Jake
a Russian preacher and a circus clown
i met Fellini at the Pizza Queen
had a slice and talked about the queen
“go for broke” he said to me
make a move, climb a tree
be yourself or be like me
William Green and Jimmy were in town
celebrating true love at my house
Green met Jimmy at a traffic light
waiting for another life
have a glass of wine, another glass of wine.
...old man’s vision is mixed with disappointment
too much wisdom, too many memories,
butchers in churches, soldiers on crutches.
sleeping with angels who run away with me

Building a Snowman
04:07
|
|||
Winter comes but once a year.
lovers hold hands in the snow,
falling down onto the cars
traffic passes in the cold
i kissed a boy in Winter weather
sometimes we would get together
watch the children build snow men
charcoal eyes could see forever
my Winter mind was lost in weather
white snow covered streets in winter
we built a snow man together
charcoal eyes could see forever
charcoal eyes…
charcoal eyes
watched the falling snow, and traffic in the cold
traffic in the cold

Waltz in 4
03:42
|
|||
dancing in the dark
me and my pal
looking for a light (gotta light)
and cigarettes
the light is green
like trees in the park
and falling leaves
and falling leaves
kissing in the night
turning like a waltz
we glide down a path
following the lights
the light is green
spinning like leaves
dancing in the dark
a nightingale…
dancing in the dark
me and my pal
looking for a light (gotta light)
and cigarettes

Running for Cover

|

………………………
running for cover
waiting for music
waiting for lovers
all of us here
truth and illusion
…..
……………………
songs of midsummer
dreams from the universe
singing for supper
friends fade away
fade away and appear
wind …………………
wind in his hair
lovers and brothers
shadows in sunshine
sun in a blue sky
red wine and white wine
br.
………………………
running for cover
waiting for music
waiting for lovers
all of us here
truth and illusion

all of the world, wraps around my fingers
when i’m calling Harry
but Harry doesn’t hear me
and in that swirl , something moving in the wind
and something moving in the world
keeps me from sleeping
—walk on water, walk on wine
back and forth, i’ll dance in time
when Harry see me, please believe me
shoot me with an arrow, Sagittarius,
all of my wings, keep me from falling
into the fiery lake
in the Valley of Fear
thy rod and thy staff only trip me up
but shapes on pages
cheer me up
—walk on water, walk on wine
back and forth, i’ll dance in time
when Harry see me, please believe me
shoot me with an arrow, Sagittarius,
