i thought i loved you, when you left some time ago, but that was than. another man, another show —over the rainbow, but i don’t know …i don’t know stars in the sky, stars at night i’m watching ships, come and go look at me, what do you see —and something else, that i don’t know another man, i don’t know lost in thoughts of peace and war landscapes and city streets that i know and something else, but i don’t care —when he’s— looking at me, drinking a beer …when he’s looking at me..

butterfly, on a piano, by the window, where William plays variations, on infinity all he knows, is what he makes. a pink moon, in the mirror the front door, is never locked and the dog comes home, when he wants to all he says is let me in —ships, and trains and images of side walks in the villages pedestrians on a weekend, shop in stores shop in stores satisfaction, guaranteed, when you paint and you draw when a singer, says what he wants to if you don’t like it, it’s a free country. butterfly, on a piano, by the window, where William plays variations, on infinity all he knows, is what he makes —ships, and trains and images of side walks in the villages pedestrians on a weekend, shop in stores shop in stores

i’m off on a train, an imaginary name comes into my mind, a face i can’t find i’m trying to sleep, it’s late at night a train in my mind, a train is a thought these memories i find, in my dreams when i sleep a train at this time, keeps me awake i can’t laugh, i can’t cry, a whistle from far away, in my dreams at night, when i lay awake some one in my life, some love i might find in thoughts when i sleep.. that keeps me awake the efforts i make, as trains pull away the thing that i seek.. in dreams, when lie awake i’m off on a train, an imaginary name comes into my mind, a face i can’t find i’m trying to sleep, it’s late at night a train in my mind, a train is a thought
