Little Eyes

o what have I
I see you in the sun
but the sun never sets
and the moon never shines
little eyes little eyes
o what am I
I see you in the night
but the sun never sets
and the moon never shines
little eyes little eye
o what will I
I see you in the sky
but the sun never sets
and the moon never shines
little eyes little eyes

love
will touch you if you care
the day is very fine
someone will take your hand
but no one will hold you there
she
waits by a yellow door
the sun is very bright
and you are looking for
someone to love
she
will touch you if you care
her skin is very light
the sun is waiting were
the sky is very white
please
continue in the game
it never was the same
and love is something more
than an expensive fire
love
will touch you if you care
the day is very fine
someone may take you there
but no one will hold your hand

trees that gather under shadows gather sparrows and white arrows
gather dreams because my love is green
fire and heat consume the sunlight and the moonlight of the midnight
on the burning bed my love is red
CH. my love is a red red rose she keeps me warm
she shades me from the summer sun an keeps me dry when spring rains come
and when I die my love will morn
(and) in the spring my love will sing when I'm born
I am singing in the bright sky bells are ringing and the birds fly
one and one are two because my love is blue
clowns and carnival collections blow on horns and play selections
as they bellow my love is yellow
CH. my love is a red red rose she keeps me warm
she shades me from the summer sun an keeps me dry when spring rains come
and when I die my love will morn
(and) in the spring my love will sing when I'm born
soft reflections from green valleys cover me in silver allies
I'll be back because my love is black
white soft snow fell and transformed the broken midnight into dawn
and the dawn is bright because my love is white
CH. My love...

City of Glass

the mystery maid gave me to glass
i don't know her name but the blue mountain laughed
the silver sage said he was sad
in the bad lands silver was saved
a child of fire made me a flame
the widows waved from a city of grain
they saw the saints come and go come and stay
all of them came from a city of clay
city of cain, city of glass
the rider came and the wine was passed

the Face of Fire
03:52
|

the sun comes down to make
the fiery face of fields
burn in the eyes, the face of fire
burns in the breath
the light of lamps, the night
is black and quiet, the stars
burn in the sky, the darkest light
a dance of lamps
the breath of life, the voice
of rain and fire and sky
the life of lakes, the breath of sound
the sound of song
the sun comes down to make
the fiery face of fields
burn in the eyes, the face of fire
burns in the breath

Old Mother Moon

Old Mother Moon caries a spoon across a table.
She couldn't go away. She had to stay.
She came to soon. We didn't know the day.
She was to arrive at five.
Old Father Sky looked at me in the eyes.
He couldn't see much of me.
Meadows and mice do not survive
under the spell of a diamond knife,
Old Mother Time caries a dial.
She couldn't tell what time to cry.
She wondered why all of the lights
had gotten so bright.
Old Mother Time caries a dial
She couldn't tell what time to cry.
She wondered why all of the lights
had gotten so bright.
Once in a while some of the children would
Tell the Father Sun he couldn't have won.
The father tried to tell the mother some,
some of the times he'd made up his mind.
