all That Beauty There
03:53
|
|||
all that beauty there
walking in the world
on that Venice beach
you were walking with that girl
you were so sweet when you passed by
i said hello and smiled
i can't remember what you said
but it was something cruel
i was used to that
so i followed you into the shining sea
we were alone as we swam the channel
my heart beat like a hammer
we reached the other shore that night
all the stars were out
glowing in the sky
so i followed you into the summer night
you were so sweet when you took my hand
we maid love on the warm sand
i never can forget that night
all the stars were out
glowing in the sky
so i followed you into the summer night
you were so sweet when you took my hand
we maid love on the warm sand
i never can forget that night

on The River
03:06
|
|||
she goes on
rolling down the river
she takes you to
your new home
and you go with her
on the muddy river
she teaches you
a new song

So
03:25
|
|||
green light
traffic on the street..
the boy with brown eyes
smiles when he sees
blue birds
flying in the sky
angle wings open when
he hears the choir
golden lights,
flicker in the night
may the saints bring a smile
to the boy with brown eyes
golden lights flicker
flicker in the night
may the saints bring a smile
to the boy with brown eyes

the Center of the World
04:29
|
|||
it's late at night
and my day is through
but i cant ..let it go
without letting you know
that i feel possessed
by a strange calm
despite the world spinning so fast
that you think it might
spin out of control
like the center of a storm
but just for a moment
i think you should know
that you are at
the center of the world
in your breast
is a heart that beats
and music and love and understanding
flows from a heart
at the center of a storm
but you may feel possessed
by a strange calm
despite the world spinning so fast
that you think it might
spin out of control

i walk along the beach
kicking up pebbles
a gull above the trees
a flash of white
time stands still in the sky
the winter sun
a lamp above the sea
shines in the blue
white waves along the shore
voice of the ocean
the sound of waves that fall
on sandy beach
a light snow starts to fall
a chill, a breeze
i look out on the white
and silver sea
alone, i walked this path
a lonely child
took comfort in this vast
and empty world
a sky that never ends
a tiny bird
i fly above the world
on wings of song

Wind and Willow
03:21
|
|||
wind and willow, fish and birds
Thomas listens to the words
of the songs that children sing
in the church of love and wings
Colin brings another dream
wind and fire, tears and bones
and he listens to the song
of the tiger, oak and sward
wind and willow, wind and fire
here the tiger and the choir
through the music and the silence
may God's goodness always guide you
over the rocks birds rise and fall
in New England Tommy walks
to the blue Atlantic shore
hear the sea on Europe's coast
wind and willow, wind and fire
here the tiger and the choir
through the music and the silence
may God's goodness always guide you

the Lost Letter
04:42
|
|||
i fell asleep
and all of the words
..
fell out of the the world.
let freedom bring
the burning sky.
love in the night.
a drowning child.
....
a peaceful light
the lost letter
a day together
husbands and wives
two brothers cry
a kiss in the night
..
i fell asleep
may my sons keep
starlight and dreams
a rushing river
a bridge to somewhere
the music we make
the love we remember
.....
and when we awake
to a broken day
the music we make
is taken away
....
but i fell asleep
and all of the words
..
fell out of the the world.
let freedom bring
the burning sky.
love in the night.
a drowning child.

everyone rides on a real train....

Till I Find You
03:44
|
|||
the sun rises in the sky
over the land a white cloud drifts by
a little boy rides a yellow bike
an old man sits on the porch
and i'll sing another song
waiting for you to come along
in the city i'll sit pretty
till i find you
the one that rises in my mind
could be the boy that i might find
strolling on the shore or driving to the store
a pebble on the beach a diamond in the street
and i'll sit here and write another song
waiting for you to come along
when you come through the door
and i find you
and i'll sit here and write another song
waiting for you to come along
when you come through the door
and i find you
when you come through the door
and i find you
