Where Towers Wait
02:55
|
|||
talking with the kids about life
and just like Santa Clause
i didn’t die on the cross like christ
and i got my gifts, on Christmas day all right
talking to a blind man about insight
i walked with him into the night
we stood on a hill and sang about light
at the birth of the world, we sang Silent Night
i’ve done some stupid things in the past
i approached some boys a little too fast
but they forgave me when i asked
about the storms in the future, not the past
in Summer towns
the days are long
where’s towers wait
and the earth quakes

the Book of Hope
04:42
|
|||
water falls out of the sky..out of the sky
romantic dreamers, and sleepers rise
climbing a latter of stars …into night
in the dark of the day.. we swim against the tide
now we come to, an invisible road
that crosses a page in the book of hope
rising out of the waves, like a rose like a rose
calming the angry sea, calming the angry sea
—Daniel walks over the hill
watching sheep under the stars
he sees planets, rising out of the earth
a great ship sails across the sky
we all wander, down old roads,
green sleep walkers, on the road
hustlers and robbers, saints and brokers
landlords and preachers, in golden robes
—Daniel walks over the hill
watching the sheep under the stars
he sees planets, rising out of the earth
a great ship sails across the sky

Spider's Song
04:50
|
|||
Mother, looks down and smiles
is a cool moon in the night
sparrow dreams and spider sings
in the, deep blue sky
walkie-talkie time
shadows, hide in rhymes
arrows and apple blossoms
a glass of red wine
— friends, walk together, down the street
kiss me some day, when we meet
carry on, when the light turns green
lipstick on the police
knight sticks, a king and a priest
Xi (shee) thinks, it’s the Middle Kingdom
but Lyndon Johnson , lost his children
Mother looks down and cries
a cruel moon with angry eyes
even the emperor hides in shadows
shadows hide in rhymes
— friends, walk together, down the street
kiss me some day, when we meet
carry on, when the light turns green
Mother, looks down and smiles
is a cool moon in the night
sparrow dreams and spider sings
in the, deep blue sky

Some Words
04:30
|
|||
after the protest, you came here
brought me a bar of chocolate and a beer.
we walked on the flat earth
talk about white words
beans and rice, and Summer nights
i’ll be up all night, i’ll never get to bed
looking at the light, shining on the water
the moon is so bright, shinning on the water
and a breeze is a blessing, like a message in a bottle
— i’m looking for a home, in a poem
living in a tree, in a dream
i’m a candle in a storm
….a candle on a beach
—i’m listening for a bird, that sang to me
laughing like a boy, on my knee
a candle in a storm
….a candle on a beach
coconut and chilly, and green tea
i’m whistling in the wind. by the, by the sea
a breeze is a blessing, after the protest
we ate beans and rice, on summer nights
after the protest

Satellites and Sparrows
04:00
|
|||
house of cards on the silver screen
au-to-pi-lot another stream
take me to the city blue
waking in the dark and i remembered you
talk to me on a yellow phone
i lost another home gambling with the bones
somersault , into another day
rising like the clouds and falling like the rain
— we sang words made of broken stones
orange houses on purple roads
broken bones
i looked for you in the city blue
on the old road into town, i found a you
take me to another day
satellites and sparrows in a gay parade.
— we sang words made of broken stones
orange houses on purple roads
broken bones

Dragon
04:19
|
|||
we danced in water
up to our knees in rivers
coming out of mountains
remembering the ocean.
we waltzed on beaches
to a waltz by Sousa
we looked out on horizons
drinking wine in the gazebo.
.. Summers in gazebos
drummer boys on roof tops
coming out of mountains
remembering the ocean.
Dragon Clouds and rain drops
Summer rain and Sousa
playing on the radio
coming out of mountains
—
coming out of mountains
remembering the ocean.
we waltzed on beaches
to a waltz by Sousa
we looked out on horizons
drinking wine in the gazebo.
Summer rain and Sousa
playing on the radio
**playing on the radio
playing on the radio
Summer rain and Sousa
playing on the radio
we danced in water
up to our knees in rivers
coming out of mountains

she was looking for a letter

you can see them in the encyclopedia
in the Sahel and on the savanna …
we’ll go and see them
i’ll see them on youtube
i’ll see them on youtube
i can’t believe it will get better

a bird came by today
she was looking for a letter
