about

if you have ever been on welfare you probably don't need me to remind you. a song about two noble people.

lyrics

Eloise and Michel
came from the other side
of the world
looking for a better life

who could have foreseen
the difficulties

the welfare office
is not the happiest place
the people who work there are impatient
and over worked

who would believe them
we don't want charity

welfare to work is capricious
the situation is not a good situation
get in line, get in line, get in line, get in line
the phones don't work,the phones don't work,

but who could understand
i know what i'm talking about

but Eloise and Michel
went out to a local bar
and danced away the problems
and danced away the problems

and who could ever guess
the strength of dreamers
