Blue Car
04:00
|
|||
red truck turns a corner
early in the evening
a blue car is passing by
a yellow cab, stops at the light
Mondrian is painting
red and blue and yellow
he looks out at the night
he hears the street, and sees the lights
horns down on the corner
somewhere, an orchestra is tuning up
and on the street a thousand feet
dance .. to a heart beat
Mondrian is waiting
he picks up a brush
in the ..New York night
..he paints the light

Rivers and Wings
04:46
|

fishermen take fish from the sea
hunters are cruel when they shoot
i'm hunting for you all over the world
with only kind words and a song
who can he be. a beautiful face
opens your heart with a smile
and over at.. the place where we meet
rivers and wings make us cry
and on the way, through mountains of pain
there is a place that we know
old men and children fish on the lake
what they catch only love knows
fishermen take fish from the sea
hunters are crule when they shoot
i'm hunting for you all over the world
with only kind words and a song

Run Away
06:09
|
|||
a river runs to the sea
i sailed a tall ship on the tide
the Winter's cold but when it comes to me
i'll run away...................
another rose behind the willow tree
and on the river floats a little boat
the children run around but can't catch me
i'll sail away...................
..fairy tales come and go
in the garden of our lives
over on the other side
.... where we hide
the whispering wind will bring his words to me
and i will make another song
and in the church a children's choir sings
a melody
a river runs to the sea
i sailed a tall ship on the tide
the Winter's cold but when it come to me
i'll run away ...................

Tranquility
03:15
|
|||
rain is falling on the world , and the sun is shining brightly.
the sons and daughters of the town, are swimming in the sea of tranquility.
old men sitting on the porch, are playing chess and smoking cigars.
glistening bodies playing on the shore, pretty girls and beautiful boys
can't you see the beauty there, in the laughter; and sun showers
coming down on shoulders bare, of our beautiful sons and daughters .
floating on the sea of tranquility, little boats like lotus.
and the mothers, smile to see, there happy children.

Westward Bound
03:19
|
|||
he never spoke a word to me
but left a message on the sea
a paper boat that i could read
i saw him waiting in wings
the boys were singing hymns to him
i left message on the wind
he said," Ed.. please come again"
horses running in the sky
a blue guitar played by a child
angles playing, old man saying
i'll see you when the snow is high
all the houses in your town
circle the cathedral now
but i remember when i found
the smiling boy whose westward bound.
he never spoke a word to me
but left a message on the sea
a paper boat that i could read
he said,
"i love you Ed.. take care of yourself"
